Winter has arrived ...

I know this because it has started snowing in Finland. How did I find that out?

His diebus primae nives in maiorem partem Finniae ceciderunt on YLE's Nuntii Latini, which gets delivered to my mailbox weekly. Yes, I get current events, in Latin, from a Finnish radio station.

Reading the news in funny furrin languages is a great way of learning them, or of keeping one's knowledge of the language from going stale. I have an experimental RSS feed of the news in Anglo-Saxon if anyone is interested. It's scraped from Tidunga On Englisce, The New Anglo-Saxon Chronicles. If you want the feed, email me.
