I'm glad you mentioned that last one - I was beginning to think I was the only one that noticed. Scrums are a farce.

I'd agree with every word of that except national anthem (I have a weakness for the star-spangled bullshit). I'd add England as "most unexpectedly successful", with a clear distinction to be made between "successful" and "good".

I think we have to accept that now they're allowed to shove before the put-in, they're going to allow crooked put-ins because otherwise the scrum might be a genuine contest, heaven forfend. Doesn't mean we have to like it, though.
