The Problem Of The Bored Security Guard

This is prompted by the dream I just woke up from.

When someone comes along to do a job, how often do you check their credentials? Do you check their ID and qualifications? How do you ensure that the ID and so on are real and valid? Do you check them even if you recognise the bearer, and you checked them yesterday?

I shall now go back to sleep.
