Shoes

The only reason that I own shoes is because we have a dress code at work that requires them. Normally, I'd wear stout boots. Is it unreasonable of me to expect a pair of shoes that cost twice as much as my boots to last at least as long? A pair of boots lasts me well over a year before they need fixing or replacing. I've gone through a pair of shoes in under four months.
