A very filmy weekend

The very excellent recently told the about the BFI's showing of all three Lord of the Rings films at the IMAX. So that was three films on Friday night / Saturday morning. Then I also watched Hunt For Red October (again) on Saturday evening, and then on Sunday I was bored in the evening so watched Star Trek Nemesis. Which was shit. The only reason I kept watching was because I wanted to see whether it could get any worse.

Summary of Nemesis: badder guy takes over the bad guys. Bad guy talks to old slaphead, then he fights old slaphead. Slaphead wins. The end. Everything else - and I mean *everything* else in the film was just crappy filler material. It might have made a tolerable five minute short.

Oh, and on Sunday I got a year older. I am a prime number again! Woo-hoo!
